How to Beautify Your Home and Garden with Low Maintenance Plants

Not all plant lovers are created equal. Some of us actually love having some greenery around the house or garden but are too lazy, too strapped for time or too bad at taking care of plants to make it work. So how can you have your plant and keep it too? Well, all you need are some low maintenance, hard to kill plants that need very little attention.

Try these.

House Plants

1.      Chinese Money Plant

This plant, nicknamed Pancake Plant, only needs weekly watering so as long as you remember it once a week, it should be fine. It also likes shady spots so make sure it doesn’t get too much sunlight.

2.      Photos

Interestingly, this plant can actually purify the air in your home and absorb toxins. It can thrive in various lighting conditions and room temperatures, and only needs a weekly watering.

3.      Jade Plant

Succulents are very easy to take care of and the Jade Plant is no exception. It doesn’t require much water and it’s actually best to keep its soil quite dry. In addition, this plant needs light and thrives in normal room temperature.

Outdoor Plants

1.      Heather

When its small you will actually need to water this plant twice a week, but once its grown, it will virtually look after itself and it’s even drought resistant!

2.      Ivy

Ivy is a climbing plant the grows fast and doesn’t require much water, but it does love shade so don’t plant it in a spot that gets too much sun.

Tip: you don’t have to get a garden shed to store your (few) garden tools. Instead, try to use a chic, weather resistant garden furniture that can also be used for storage. Problem solved!
